Medicare
Dr. Bob and Dr. Gretchen have both been approved to provide psychological services under Medicare, so if you have a Medicare card, and need our services, you are welcome at our agency. The reimbursement under Medicare can be complex, because Medicare only pays fifty percent of the charge. You need to also have Medigap insurance which generally pays some or all of the remaining amount due.
While the above is a description of how it generally works, some people have insurance that is from some other retirement plan which is primary before Medicare will provide coverage. We can sometimes decipher the resulting insurance maze, and give you an idea of what will be covered, though occasionally we just have to quickly bill the carriers and see what happens. Medical insurance coverage is extremely complex these days, and we will do our best to help you get your benefits paid.
