Who's Doing What and When?President: George Malarney
Board Meets QuarterlyNext Board Meeting is on August 27, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the Library. Lenawee PC Users Group is guided by a board of directors who handle the planning and execution of all of the club functions. We want this action to be as transparent as possible and all members are invited to attend board meetings. The By-Laws link from this page describes the structure of the club and the responsibilities of the various positions. Check out the Board Minutes Link to see what happened at the last board meeting. The Calendar link lets you know what is going to happen in the coming months. As you scroll down the Calendar page, you can also read about activities that have happened in the previous months. There are many people involved in making the club work. First, the elected officers listed at the top of the page have the ultimate responsibility to make sure everything happens that is supposed to happen. The Special Interest Group (SIG) coordinators can be found on the SIGS page. We have the club past president, Phil Smith, and a representative from our sponsor, the Lenawee County Library, Sandi Meeker, who lend their wisdom to the process. The board also has several standing committees that carry out the monthly details that keep the club functioning. The Program Committee has the hard job of lining up the monthly club programs and is headed by Bill Kressbach. The Membership Chairperson is in charge of keeping track of membership contacts and promoting the club through various announcements to newspaper and public access channel TV. This job is currently being handled by Bob Warwick who also holds the position of Webmaster. The club Historian is Paul Hover, who has the job of collecting and maintaining all club documents, so that if a key member suddenly cannot continue serving, all of the information is available from the Historian for the next person to take over. The By-Laws also provide for special committees to be formed by the board to accomplish special tasks. The club's organization is based on the principle that "many hands make light work", so if you would like to help out, talk to our president, and I am sure that he will have job or committee that needs extra help.
